Rise in OTT Platform

 Few years back if you have ask someone about the OTT I'd the straight forward answer would be "No " ?But Today the answer is totally different. Almost everyone wants to use one or the other OTT Platform. They would be not interested to listen 45-50 Minutes of a Online Class but with full interest they will see 4-5 Hours of a web Series or complete an Episode in a day or two. It's a Harsh Reality.

In my opinion after the Pharma Sector and FMCG , OTT Market would be the most growing market amidst the pandemic. IN families, Youngest of the youngest and the oldest members all are keen to see one or the other serials,movies,web-series on OTT Platform. The PwC report (Pricewaterho useCoopers ) which covers more than 50 countries states that OTT Expenditure are no longer discretionary expenditure. It has come under non-discretionary expenditure.

There are multiple Factors behind the Growth of This Industry -

1. Lockdown- With the beginning of the lockdown, Pandemic changed the lifestyle of the people. All confined in the 4 walls of the Room. Sharing of thoughts between Children and Parents reduced and interest of all being inclined towards OTT Platform.

2. Convenience- There is no time Scheduled between the serials,movies,etc. its the choice of the consumer whenever he feels he is suitable or free to watch he can.

3. Business- Many People started to open their You-Tube Channel and started sharing their thoughts on different issues. Trying to utilise the free time and enjoying the Virtual world.

4. Infrastructure- Before there were 2G-3G Networks, it might have taken ages to complete an episode forget the whole series. Now government is planning to bring 5G networks till 2022. 

5. Revenue- It's the most fundamental Point. This sector never bears cash losses due to credit. Every customers need to purchase first and then avail the benefits of it. So these sectors never bears losses at the time of crisis also.

India is the fastest growing market in OTT Segment. OTT market is only market which helped Entertainment market to grow in India.

    Well i think it would be great to discover new things through these platforms but people should also respect each others choices. According to me people should watch they enjoy and what entertaints them and not by following the trend to relax themselves. Other than that it was greatly expressed!
